1. The Competition will be swum using the enclosed programme of events.

2. Ages of swimmers shall be at 31st December in the year of competition.

3. Swimmers may compete in a maximum of 4 events plus the cannon.

4. Swimmers may compete in their own age group or above but should not exceed the maximum number of swims laid down in Rule 3.

5. Points will only be scored if your team finishes the event on the time shown or slower.

Teams finishing any event faster than the time shown will not score any points for that event but will be presented with ‘SPEEDING TICKETS’.

6. Squad relay events comprise - Backstroke-Breaststroke-Front Crawl-Front Crawl.

7. Mixed cannon relay event comprises 1 Girl and 1 Boy from each age group starting with the youngest.

8. If your club enters more than one team the swimmers selected for each team will not be allowed to interchange between teams.

9. In the event of a tie on points between teams, in either the preliminary heats or the final, then the team finishing in a higher legitimate order in the cannon will be deemed the winner.

10. Depending on the number of clubs entering the competition the enclosed programme will be swum in preliminary heats with the top six clubs from these heats then swimming the programme again in the final.

E.g. 12 or less teams - two heats - top three teams from each go into the final.

13 up to maximum 18 teams - three heats - top two teams from each go into final.

11. There are two trophies, one for the overall winning club in the final and one for the second placed team.

12. Medals will be presented to every member of the teams finishing in first, second and third places in the final.
